Yorkshire 2019 is committed along with our local authority delivery partners to making the World Championships accessible to everyone.


Accessible viewing areas

Each start town will have an accessible viewing area as will the finish straight in Harrogate and the Harrogate fan zone. These areas will be limited to a capacity and will operate on a first come first serve basis.


Accessible toilets

Each start town, and Harrogate fan zone will have accessible toilets for spectators. For information on Public toilets within Harrogate please click here.


Accessible Changing

Our Harrogate fan zone will have accessible changing facilities for spectators, for changing accessible facilities within North Yorkshire please visit, Changing Places or for further a field, click here.


Accessible Travel

Dedicated, free blue badge parking will be available at our spectator parking site available from July with limited shuttle bus service on offer. Please note all spaces must be pre-booked.

Due to the race routes and road closures there may changes to day-to-day blue badge parking within Harrogate and start towns. For further details please contact your local authority. Despite the increased demand for rail travel during the UCI World Championships the process for accessible travel will not be affected. Please click here to book your travel and assistance.



Throughout the UCI Road World Championships 21st - 29th September inclusive, Transdev will be running enhanced services between Ripon, Harrogate and Leeds for details of travelling by bus visit Harrogate Bus.


Harrogate Fan Zone

Our Fan Zone will be set on the Stray adjacent to West Park and the A61. Set on grass park land all activities, merchandise areas, attractions will have level access on a mix of existing pathways and temporary pathways.


Accessible entry

Each of our three entrances will have dropped kerbs or suitable ramps to accommodate chair access. Each of these entrances will be staffed by trained stewards and our Yorkshire Team Volunteers to provide support and information for your day.


Security Searching

The event organisers reserve the right to conduct person searches where deemed appropriate, all our security stewards are however professionally trained in person searching.


Assistance Dogs  

Yorkshire 2019 welcomes assistance dogs to our Harrogate Fan Zone. Please contact your nearest steward or Yorkshire Team Volunteer if you need further information during the day.


Young spectator or vulnerable adult wristbands

We will have young spectator or vulnerable adult wristbands available throughout the Harrogate Fan Zone. This helps our team reunite families should separation occur. For more information, contact your nearest Yorkshire Team Volunteer.


Powered Wheelchairs

Charging: The Fan Zone is not able to provide charging facilities for powered wheelchairs and mobility scooters. In the event of an emergency, please contact your nearest steward or Yorkshire Team Volunteer.


Accessible Toilets

Our Harrogate Fan Zone will have several accessible toilet units for spectators located at each toilet block, including HDU’s. For details on location please view our Fan Zone map found on our website in August 2019.


Accessible Changing

Our Harrogate Fan Zone will have two accessible changing units for spectators. For details on location please view our Fan Zone map found on our website in August 2019.


Bars & Concessions

Concessions are located conveniently around the Fan Zone. Please note not all concessions have lowered counters, but staff are available to assist. For details on the location and offering of concessions check out our Fan Zone map available on the website and Yorkshire 2019 App in August.



Our official merchandise is located near Entrance C of the Fan Zone and will have ramped access. If you require additional help please just ask the staff within the shop who will be happy to assist.
