JOIN THE YORKSHIRE TEAM - VOLUNTEERING DONE PROPER
If you have already signed up to be a 2019 Tour de Yorkshire Tour Maker, you will have been notified via your Rosterfy account. Please log in to find your questionnaire.
We're delighted to let you know that full registration to become a part of The Yorkshire Team is now open. More details of what roles are available are below.
Volunteering is a brilliant way to get a front row seat, up close to the action. We’ll give you all the training and information you’ll need - all we ask is that you bring your enthusiasm, dedication and passion.
Previous volunteering experience is really useful but we love seeing new applications from people who’ve never done it before. And if this is your first time, what an event to be a part of!
What to do next
We’re using an online system called Rosterfy to communicate with all The Yorkshire Team. After completing your registration you'll be directed to your own personal 'volunteer portal' where you can input any required information, amend your profile details and access updates from us. You will need to set up a password for the portal. Once you have registered you will receive an automated email. If it doesn't appear in your inbox, please check your junk folder.
Training sessions for all roles will be held over the coming months. Dependent on your chosen role training will be held in the early summer months or a few days/weeks before the event and we look forward to seeing you there.
There are a number of different roles available and these are split into five groups. These five groups are summarised below. On your application form you will be presented with a drop down menu of these five groups. Please let us know which group you would be willing to volunteer for. You can select up to two preferences.
The Yorkshire Team will cover all regions of Yorkshire, please only select role preferences and dates you will be willing to volunteer and travel for. You can familiarise yourself with the routes here.
We cannot guarantee to allocate you a particular role or date, but we will try to assign roles based on preferences wherever possible. For some of the roles we will give preference to volunteers who are available for several, or all, of the days of the Championships. This is so we can provide consistent and world class service – so please do register for as many days as you are able to!
